Trade show follow-up email
Why 80% of show leads never get a follow-up — and how to send one tonight
The leads aren't bad. The process is. Badge scans sit in a rented gun, a stack of cards, or a spreadsheet that nobody opens until next week. By then the dealer has walked twenty other booths. LeadPix is built for the other outcome: a draft in your inbox the same night, that you send.

Same-night is the whole product
- 1. Scan. Badge or card. AI reads the print and enriches the company.
- 2. Qualify on the spot. Tag hot / warm / cold, drop a note while you still remember what they asked for.
- 3. Open a draft. One tap builds a mailto from your template. Your mail app opens. You send. The lead shows Drafted / Opened mail — not “sent by LeadPix.”
That last part matters. We do not run a mail server on your behalf. Follow-up is a draft in the inbox you already use, so it comes from you, with your signature, to a person you just met.
Examples — not real people
What a same-night draft can look like
Fictional: an Ace dealer who asked about a SKU
Subject: Great meeting you — River Hardware Hi Alex, It was great connecting at the booth. I noted you wanted the cut sheet on the compact SKU for independent Ace stores. Happy to jump on a 15-minute call this week if useful. Best [You] — example only, not a real person —
Fictional: a distributor who grabbed a card
Subject: Following up from the floor Hi Jordan, You stopped by and mentioned spring fill-in for outdoor. Here's the one-pager we talked about — no login required. If the pack-out dates shifted, just reply with the window. Best [You] — example only, not a real person —
Send it before the hotel bar
Scan at the booth. Open the draft from your own inbox. You send — LeadPix never does. Free for 25 scans a month.
Frequently asked questions
Does LeadPix send the follow-up email for me?
No. One tap opens a mailto draft in your own mail app, pre-filled with your template. You hit send. The lead is marked Drafted / Opened mail. LeadPix does not deliver, track opens, or blast a sequence.
Why not just wait for the organizer CSV?
Because 80% of trade-show leads are never followed up, and the average time to enter leads into a CRM is 11 days (Event Marketing Institute, CEIR industry reports — same sourcing as our homepage). A file on Thursday is how those numbers happen.
Can I use my own wording?
Yes. Custom templates with variables like first name, company, and the note you took at the booth. The examples on this page are samples, not real people.
What if I don't have wifi at the booth?
Snap photos with your phone camera, bulk-upload later, then open drafts from the hotel. Live scanning needs a connection. Sending the email uses whatever mail app is on your phone.
